About Me

I am an Assistant Professor of Literature and Languages in Medieval Studies and Digital Humanities at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee as well as the university’s advisor for Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society. During my “down time,” I am an Instructor of Data Science for the Data Science Academy at North Carolina State University and a visiting lecturer for the Digital Humanities Summer Minor at the University of California, Berkeley. I hold a B.A. in English Literature from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Medieval English Literature from the University of Leeds in Leeds, England, and a Ph.D. in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media (Dissertation title: “Networked Artifacts: Materiality, Medieval Texts, and the Digital Response”; defense date: 22 June 2021) from NC State University, where I also earned a Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities. Currently, I am working on my Masters of Science in Data Science (M.S.D.S.) at Christian Brothers University.

Recently, I taught the course, “Digital Humanities, Data, and Ethical Representation,” for the 2023 Summer Academy at the Universidad de La Salle in Bogotá, Colombia. I am the President for the Digital Humanities Collaborative of North Carolina, an Associate Editor for the journal, Digital Medievalist, and a Review Editor for Speculum: A Journal of Medieval Studies. I was the President of the CRDM Student Association from 2018 to 2021 and a Graduate Instructional Assistant for the NCSU Innovation Studio.
